INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

Prime Contractors Internship Program is designed for you to get to know our Prime family while gaining tangible resume-building experience in commercial construction. It is also your opportunity to show us your skills and work ethic.

• A large focus of the program is on self-development and learning more about yourself, as well as the personality traits of your team.

• Assist team with General Contract and Subcontract administration

• Exposure to Construction Scheduling

• Material & Equipment procurement and expediting

• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination

• Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination

• Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings

• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment

• Maintenance of Record Drawings

• Exposure to and monitoring of quality control - field and shop

• Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention

 

PRIME'S EXPECTATIONS OF AN INTERN: 

• Work with us to set your specific internship experience goals.

• Valid interest in pursuing a career in Construction/Project Management required

• Active participation in assigned activities.

• Enjoy being a part of our Prime family and our project success.

 

EDUCATION & EXPIERENCE:

• Degree Pursuit in Construction Management or Engineering a plus, but not required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to travel daily to sites within the greater Houston area required.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
