Position
Summary
The Superintendent provides on-site field management, leadership, and coordination to ensure the safe, high-quality, and timely completion of construction projects. This role is responsible for managing field operations, subcontractors, materials, and schedules while maintaining Prime Contractors' standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
Champion a zero-incidents culture and enforce all safety policies and procedures on site.

On-Site Supervision
Lead & coordinate subcontractors, craftspeople, and site activities to maintain productivity and quality.
Logistics Planning
Plan and manage site logistics, deliveries, equipment, and temporary facilities.
Quality Plan Management
Implement & oversee the project's quality plan to ensure work meets specifications & Prime's standards.
Delivery & Material Verification
Coordinate & verify material deliveries, inspect for accuracy & quality, and manage site storage.
Project Meetings
Lead & participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings, and communicate key information to the project team.
Schedule Management
Manage daily activities to keep the project on schedule and proactively address potential delays.
Daily Reports
Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor, equipment, weather, progress, and issue identification.
Close-Out & Issue Resolution
Coordinate final inspections, issue resolution, and project close out activities to ensure a successful client acceptance and turnover.
Skills & Qualifications

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Broad understanding of construction practices, means and methods

Commitment to safety and a team-first culture

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pace environment

Valid driver's license required with daily travel within the greater Houston area
Education & Experience
-
3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field leadership role

Experience with K-12, higher education, or commercial construction projects preferred

Renovation and occupied project experience a plus

Construction management, engineering, or related degree preferred (but not required)

OSHA 30 preferred
