The story of Prime Contractors is a story of dedication — and of doing the right thing for our clients, trade partners, team members, and communities.

From the beginning, Prime was built around more than constructing buildings. It was about creating a family-like culture and building lasting relationships with the people who trusted us with their projects and the people who helped us deliver them.

Founder Lee Dodson established the principles that continue to guide Prime today: honesty, adding value, treating people the right way, and creating an environment where our team members can find fulfillment in their work. Those principles have remained a part of Prime throughout the company’s history.

Shortly after starting Prime, Lee partnered with Brad Bell, who would become Prime’s second owner and help lead the company alongside Lee for decades.

In Houston’s construction industry, a strong reputation has to be earned. Prime earned that reputation project by project, relationship by relationship, through a commitment to doing what we say we will do.
